Bellevue Mountain Christian Center

Pastor Guito Pierre

was born in Bellevue Mountain, south of Port-au-Prince. At age 18, he walked to a school two hours away, to start first grade.

He eventually moved to Canada and then to the United States, where he completed degrees in social work and community development. He could have had a comfortable life in the US, but he returned to Haiti to pastor the Bellevue Mountain Christian Center.

He started the Emmaus School, which now has over 300 students grades 1-12.

Emmaus Clinic is part of his vision for improving the daily lives of his people, by providing access to basic medical care, and providing work and educational opportunities in the medical field.
