Our Mission
Most people in Bellevue Mountain are subsistence farmers. The closest medical facility is accessible by a 30-minute ride on the back of a motorcycle. The cost of transportation, consultation with the doctor, plus any lab fees and medications, are well beyond the reach of our patients.
Many people had medical conditions that went untreated for years, until they came to Emmaus Clinic. If needed, we refer them to the appropriate specialist and provide financial assistance. We have enabled several patients to receive life-saving surgeries.
Mission
We work closely with the local church, Bellevue Mountain Christian Center. We provide medical services to the community and also bring the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
In February 2023, gangs drove the entire population of Bellevue Mountain out of their homes and lands.
Emmaus Clinic opened in a new location near Petionville, where most of the people from Bellevue Mountain are now living. All residents of this area will benefit from our ministry. We are in the process of expanding our services, to include more diagnostic equipment, and dental and maternity care.
Emmaus Clinic provides medical care, healthcare education, and employment opportunities.
