October 2022

There has been a serious deterioration in Haiti over the past year. The news is full of kidnappings, and more and more poverty and misery for Haitians.
Emmaus Clinic is in a rural area, and so is not usually directly affected by the violence. However, the lack of gas, and gang activity along the roads, have made travel especially difficult.
Due to this situation, I have not been to Haiti since March. I have sent several shipments of supplies and medication. Dr. Jean Louis and our nurses, Louna and Miya, continue to see the patients and provide free medication and other treatments. We are blessed to have a solid team of professionals, including our dentist, Dr. Nixon. I sent a large amount of donated dental equipment a few months ago, and we plan to soon have a room dedicated to dental care.

Our hope is to build a new clinic building. We have been using rooms in the Emmaus School for the past 10 years, and we really need our own space! And the children need more classroom space as well since they have expanded to over 300 students. We were blessed to have an architectural designer, Dale Slusser from Helps Ministries, donate his time to help me design the Emmaus Hospital. The plans are attached below.

These are especially difficult times for Haiti. Thank you again for your prayers and financial support over the years.

Sincerely,
Marc Pimsleur, MD
Pastor Guito Pierre
